The first exterior side has a design of a triquetra. From a Christian perspective, this represents the “trinity.” For those with a pagan, Celtic tradition this design symbolizes the interconnectedness of the life cycle. These have a slight wave to them as well. On the first exterior side, there is a design of a coiled snake. The snake’s belly has a pattern of dots that appear more like cross-hatching. The scales on the snake’s back are small, rectangular objects with circles cut out from them. For the second side, the design consists of a series of rectangles, each with various geometric shapes as the shape’s texture. On the third side, there are three musicians each playing a brass instrument and all three are wearing hats. The “sounds” emanating from the instruments' bells are butterflies, fish, and flowers. Two of the musicians have long coats that are also adorned with traditional, Don Drumm suns. And lastly, the final side consists of three hearts, also crafted in a similar style as that of the snake and sun on the other side of this pewter box.

For the first exterior side, the design has deeply grooved wavy lines that seem to disappear into a half circle. The texture on this side captures the light in a way that one can see the texture of an ice cube. Following this side, is a design that is abstract with intricate lines and shapes. The first side you can encounter consists of a variety of globules that add to the tactile experience of this box. For the second side, again with a tactile approach are a series of ten small snail shells formed in pewter. On the third side, there are zig-zag lines that bring up memories of bric-a-brac, which many fabric items use for decorative purposes. The final side is of a scarab design.

The first side of this box has diagonal markings in the design. You can see textures that conjure up ideas of chains, circles, and wavy lines. You can see on the first exterior side, a thin circle that extends about an ⅛ of an inch from the front of the side. In the center of this circle, there is a textured, diamond shape. On the second side, is the word “Love.” Following this on the third side, there are three, thin, wavering lines. In between these lines is a background with circular shapes peeking through the texture of the background. For the final side, which is another abstract, there is a combination of geometric shapes and lines that have different textures incorporated into them.

In this pewter box, the interior, central, base consists of raised lines interspersed three times with a small dot surrounded by a circle. For the first exterior side, you will find organically placed lines and grooves. Embedded within these grooves, you’ll see circles, stars, and floral patterns. Following this side, the next design is again an abstract; some elongated rectangles have an organic bent to them. On the left side of this design is an oval that one could imagine to be the cause of the distortion in the other parts of the design. For the third side, there is a stylized flower with squared-off petals and differently sized and arranged circles to represent the central seed pattern.
